Use of the map

The map is presented using Google map software.  The functionality on each page will vary with the browser used and the device on which it is running.  On a typical PC:

zoom is by rolling the wheel on a typical mouse; or by clicking the '+' and '-' signs on the map control to the top left of the map.

pan is by clicking the map and dragging with the mouse; or by clicking the left, top, right and down arrows in the map control to the top left of the map.

On most maps there will be makers (pins) over some features on the map.  Clicking on these markers will either directly open a page with relevant information about the area under the marker, or will open a small window containing further information.  In most cases, there will be areas within this window which can be clicked to open another page: either about a property, or showing information from a related survey.

The markers (pins) can be hidden by clicking on the Hide Markers menu item at the bottom left of the window.  To display the pins again, click on the Show Pins menu item.
