In the name of God Amen I Thomas ffoockes of Hanslop in the County of Buckingham Carpenter being in Health of Body and of Sound and Disposing Mind and Memory (praised be Almighty God therefore) but calling to Mind the Uncertainty of this mortall Life And being willing to settle and dispose of the Estate and Effects wherewith it hath pleased God to bless me Do make and ordain this my Last Will and Testament in manner and form following (to wit) ffirst and Principally I Commend my Soul into the hands of Almighty God my Creator and my Body I commit to the Earth to be decently buried at the discretion of my Executrix  hereinafter named in humble hopes of a Joyfull Resurrection to Eternal Life thro’ the above Merits and Meditation of Jesus Christ my Most Blessed and Merciful Saviour and Redeemer And as ffor my Wordly Estate I Dispose thereof as ffolloweth   ffirst I give and Devise unto my Well Beloved wife Mary ffoockes for and during the term of her Natural Life Only all the Rents and proffitts of both those my two Tenements or dwelling houses with their Appurtenances Situate and being in Long Street End in the parish of Hanslop aforesaid the One of them (which was Built by my Late ffather) is in the Tenure or Occupation of William Woodland and the other is in the Occupation of Richard Martin and ffrom and Immediately after my said wifes Decease my Will and Mind is and I do Give and devise the said ffirst Mentioned tenement or dwelling House now in the Occupation of William Woodland together with the Outhouses and Buildings Yard garden and Appurtenances thereunto Belonging unto my Grandson John ffoockes (the Son of my late Son Thomas ffoockes Deceased) and to his heirs forever he and they paying out of the Same unto his two Brothers Samuel ffoockes and Thomas the Sum of three pounds apiece of Good and Lawfull Money of Great Brittain within twelve months next after my said Grandson John ffoockes or his heirs shall Come into the possession of the Same Tenement and premises which I do hereby Charge with the payment of the Same Money accordingly And as for the said other dwelling House or Tenement now in the occupation of the said Richard Martin together with the Outhouses and buildings Yard and other Appurtenances thereunto Belonging  My Will and Mind is that ffrom and Immediately after the Death of my said wife the same shall go and I do give and Devise the same Tenements with the appurtenances unto my Grandson Thomas Dandridge and his heirs forever provided he shall then have attained unto his ffull age of Twenty One years But in Case my said Grandson Thomas Dandridge shall not have attained his said age at the Decease of my said wife Then I do desire and direct that the yearly Rents and Proffitts of the said Last mentioned Tenement with the Appurtenances shall be Received by my Son in Law Thomas Dandridge (the ffather of my said last mentioned Grandson to be by him laid out and applied to the use and benefit of his Son Samuel and his daughter Anna Maria Dandridge he my said son in Law Thomas Dandridge keeping and Upholding the same Tenement in good repair during such time as he shall received the Proffitts thereof and until my said Grandson Thomas Dandridge shall have attained his said age of Twenty One Years and in Case it shall happen that my said Grandson Thomas Dandridge shall depart this Life before he shall have attained unto his said of Twenty One Years Leaving behind him no issue of his Body lawfully to be begotten Then my Will and Mind is and I do give and devise the said Last mentioned Tenement with the Appurtenances unto my said Grandson Samuel Dandridge and to my said Grandaughter Anna Maria Dandridge and to their Heirs fforever to be equally divided between them share and share alike   Also I do Nominate Constitute and Appoint my said Loving wife Mary ffoockes Sole Executrix of this my said Last Will and Testament and do give and bequeath unto her all and singular my Stock of Cattle and other Stock household goods and other my Effects and Personal Estate whatsoever and wheresoever Desiring her in the ffirst place to pay off and discharge thereto all my just Debts and also my ffuneral Expences and Also the Several Legacies hereafter mentioned   Also I give and bequeath unto my Grandson Thomas Smith and unto my Grandaughter ffoockes Smith (the Son and daughter of my Late daughter Mary) the sum of fforty shillings apiece of Like and Lawfull Money of Great Brittain to be paid unto them respectively out of my said personal Estate by my said Executrix within Twelve Months next after my Decease Also I give and bequeath unto my daughter in law Elizabeth (the Widow of my late Son Thomas) the Sum of One Shilling and unto her Daughter Elizabeth the Sum of ffive Shillings of Like Lawfull Money to be paid unto them respectively by my said Executrix within one year after my decease And further my Will and Mind that in case any of the aforementioned Legacies shall be infants or within age at the time or times they or any of them shall become intitled to his or their Legacy or Legacies that the receipts or Discharges of such Infant Legatees ffor their said Legacies shall be as good and valid to all intents and purposes as if such Legatees were of full age And Lastly I do Revoke all former and other Wills by me heretofore at any time made Declaring this only to be my Last Will and Testament In Witness whereof I have to this my said last Will and Testament (contained in two sheets of paper) sett my hand and Seal (to wit) to the ffirst sheet my hand only and to his last sheet my hand and seal the Seventh day of June in the Ninth Year of the reign of our Sovereign Lord George the Second King over Great Brittain and so forth and in the Year of Our Lord One Thousand Seven hundred and thirty six  Thomas Foockes Signed sealed published and declared by the said Thomas ffoockes the Testator ffor and as his Last Will and Testament in the presence of us who
