This is the last Will and Testament of me Daniel Whitbread of Hanslope in the County of Buckingham Yeoman First I direct that all my just Debts and funeral and Testamentary expences shall be fully paid and satisfied and do hereby expressly declare that my real Estate shall be liable to and chargeable with the payment of the sums of money and incumbrances charged thereon or affecting the same respectively in exoneration of my personal Estate And I give and devise All my real Estate whatsoever and wheresoever unto my dear Wife Fanny Whitbread and her assigns for the Term of her natural life And from and immediately after her decease I give and devise the same in manner following that is to say All my Estate at Piddington in the County of Northampton unto my Son Daniel Whitbread his Heirs and assigns for ever Subject nevertheless to the Incumbrances affecting the same and also subject to the payment of the legacies hereinafter mentioned   All that Cottage or Tenement with the Garden and appurtenances thereto belonging situate in Long Street in Hanslope aforesaid now in the occupation of my Son William Whitbread unto him his Heirs and assigns for ever All that other Cottage or Tenement with the Garden and appurtenances thereto belonging also situate in Long Street in  Hanslope aforesaid now in the occupation of John Neal unto my Daughter Mary the Wife of John Webb her Heirs and assigns for ever And all that other Cottage or Tenement with the Garden and appurtenances thereto belonging also situate in Long Street in Hanslope aforesaid now in the occupation of Benjamin Neal unto my daughter Fanny the Wife of William York her Heirs and assigns for ever And I give and bequeath all my household Furniture and other personal Estate and Effects unto my said Wife Fanny Whitbread for her natural life and after her decease unto my two Daughters Alice the Wife of William Haines and the said Mary Webb equally to be divided between them share and share alike And I direct that my said Estate at Piddington aforesaid shall be chargeable with the payment of the following Legacies that is to say Fifteen Pounds to my said Son William Whitbread Seventy five Pounds to my said Daughter Alice Haines Fifteen pounds to my said daughter Mary Webb and Twenty five Pounds to my said Daughter Fanny York which said Legacies I do hereby bequeath to my said Children accordingly and direct the same respectively to be paid within three calendar months after the decease of my said Wife And I hereby nominate and appoint Thomas Allen of Hanslope aforesaid Publican Thomas Hindes the younger of the same place Draper and George Peach of the same place Shoemaker Executors of this my last Will and Testament In testimony whereof I have hereunto set my hand and Seal this 9th day of February in the year of our Lord one thousand eight hundred and thirty seven – Daniel Whitbread (LS) – Signed sealed published and declared by the said Daniel Whitbread the Testator as and for his last Will and Testament in the presence of us who in his presence at his request and in the presence of each other have hereunto subscribed our Names as Witnesses – Thomas Hindes Sen.
