In the Name of God Amen this fifteenth day of August in the year of our Lord 1749 I Robert West of Hanslop in the County of Bucks Baker being weak in  body but of sound mind and memory Praised be Almighty God for the Same Do Make and ordain this my Last Will and Testament in Manner and form following   First I Commend my Soul into the hands of Almighty God my Creator hoping through the Meritorious Death and Passion of Jesus Christ my Saviour and Redeemer for free pardon for all my Sins and as for my body I commit the Same to the earth from whence it came to be decently buried in a Christian Manner and as for that Worldly Estate in which it hath Pleased God to bestow upon me I dispose of in manner and form following   Imprimis I do Give and bequeath unto my son George West the Sum of one Shilling   I Give and bequeath unto my son Henry West the Sum of one Shilling   I Give and bequeath unto my son Robert West the Sum of one Shilling   I Give and bequeath unto my son John West the Sum of one Shilling  I also Give and bequeath unto my Daughter Mary Bishop wife of Christopher Bishop the Sum of one Shilling to be paid by my Executrix hereafter mentioned   Imprimis I Give and devise and bequeath all and Singular my Messuages Cottages Closes Lands and Tenements and hereditaments whatsoever and wheresoever within this Realm of Great Britain to my beloved Phillis West and I do also constitute and appoint my beloved wife Phillis West my Sole Executrix of all my Goods Chattels and personal Estate whatsoever and wheresoever I shall die possessed of Except she shall Intermarry with any other Person then my Will and Meaning is that my Estate both real and personal shall be Equally divided between my Children George West Henry West Robert West John West Mary Bishop wife of Christopher Bishop In Witness whereof I have hereunto set my hand and Seal this ffifteenth day of August in the year of our Lord One thousand seven hundred and forty Nine  Robert West Signed Sealed Published and Declared by the Testator to be his last Will and Testament in the presence of us and the Same was attested in the Testators presence of each other by us Joseph Miles   William Ansfield   Thomas Billing
