In the Name of God Amen I Phillippa West of Hanslope in the County of Bucks Widow being of sound mind and memory praised be God for the same do make and ordain this my last Will and Testament in Manner and form following (that is to say)   First & principally I recommend my Soul into the hands of Almighty God hoping ‘thro’ the meritorious Death and Passion of my only Saviour and Redeemer Jesus Christ to receive free pardon of all my Sins And as to my body I commit to the Earth to be decently buried at the discretion of my Executors hereinafter named and as to the worldly Estate with which it hath pleased God to bless me with I dispose thereof as followeth Viz   Imprimis I give devise and bequeath unto my Son George West all that Messuage or Tenement situate standing or being in Hanslope aforesaid and now in the tenure or Occupation of me Phillippa West And also that Messuage or Tenement situate in Hanslope aforesaid and now in the tenure or Occupation of William Ansfield To have and to hold the said Messuages or Tenements with their and every of their Appurtenances unto my said Son George West to him and his Heirs for ever Item   I Give devise and bequeath to my Son John West all that Messuage or Tenement situate standing or being in Hanslope aforesaid and now in the tenure or Occupation of William Mills And also all those two Messuages or Tenements situate or being in Hanslop aforesaid and now in the tenure or Occupations of Benjamin Lever and Thomas Pantor and also one other Messuage or Tenement in Hanslope aforesaid and now in the tenure or Occupation of James Gregory To have and to hold the said Messuages or Tenements with their and every of their Appurtenances unto my said Son John  West to him and his heirs for ever   Item I Give and bequeath to my Son Henry West the Sum of five pounds  Item I Give and bequeath to my Son Robert West the Sum of five pounds   Item I Give and bequeath to my Grandson Christopher Bishop the Sum of five pounds   Item I Give and bequeath to my Grandson Harry Bishop the Sum of five pounds   Item as to all the rest residue and remainder of my Goods Chattells and personal Estate of what kind or nature I shall die possessed off I Give and bequeath to my Son George and my Son John to be equally divided between them in such manner as they may share and share alike   Lastly I do make ordain constitute and appoint to my Son George West and my Son John West Executors to this my last Will and Testament In Witness whereof I have hereunto set my hand and Seal this fifth day of May in the Year of our Lord 1757  Phillippa West – Signed Sealed published and declared by the Testatrix to be her last Will and Testament and the same was attested by us in the presence of the Testatrix Benjamin Hindes  - William Ansfield Thomas Padley
