In the Name of God Amen I John Travell of Longstreet in Hanslop in the County of Bucks Yeoman being in good health of body and of sound and perfect mind and memory praise be therefore given to Almighty God do make and ordain this my present Last Will and Testament In manner and form following (that is to say) first and principally I Comend my soul into ye hands of Almighty God hoping through the merits death and Passion of my Saviour Jesus Christ to have full and free pardon of all my Sins and to Inheret Everlasting Life and my body I Comit to the Earth to be decently buried at the Discretion of my Executor hereafter named  And as touching the disposition of all such temporal Estate as it hath pleased Almighty God to bestow upon me I give and dispose thereof as followeth first I Will that my costs and funeral Charges shall be paid and discharged also   I give and bequeath to my son William Travell one acre and half of Land be it more or less Lying and being in the parish of Road In ye County of Northampton for and during the term of his Natural Life after his decease to ye Male heir of ye sd William Travell   I also give to my loving wife Mary Travell one house or tenement situate and being in the parish of Cosgrove in ye County of Northampton which I lately purchased of John Franklin for and during  ye term of her Natural Life and after her decease I give ye sd house or Tenement to my son Thomas Travell for and during his Natural Life and after his decease to ye Male heir of him ye sd Thomas Travell subject Nevertheless to ye payment of ten pound to my daughter Jane within twelve months after he shall be in ye possession of ye sd house or Tenement   I also give to my Grandaughter Mary Travell daughter of my late son John Travell Deceased two Shillings and Six pence to my daughter Mary Nazebys three Children Mary William and John Nazeby the like Sum of two Shillings and sixpence each and to my three Grand children Joseph Thomas and Samuel Downing I give ye like sum of two Shillings and Six pence each   Also I give to my two Grandaughters Ann and Hannah Chambers the like sum of two Shillings and Six pence each all which said Legacys herein given and bequeathed to my several Grand Children I do hereby appoint and order to be paid by my two sons William Travell and Thomas Travell within three months next after my decease all ye rest and residue of my Estate both real and personal whatsoever and wheresoever I give to my Loving wife Mary Travell for and during her natural Life and after her decease I give ye same Equally between my two sons William and Thomas Travell whom I do hereby appoint to be Joint Executors of this m last Will and Testament and I do hereby revoke Disannull and make void all former Wills and Testaments by me heretofore made I Witness whereof I the said John Travell to this my last Will and Testament being contained in one sheet of paper have set my hand and seal this Sixteenth day of September in the Eleventh Year of ye Reign of our Sovereign Lord George the Second King of Great Britain and so forth and In the Year of our Lord Christ 1737 John Travell Signed Sealed Published and Declared by John Travell ye Testator to be his last Will and Testament in the presence of Robert Jeffery  The Mark of Joseph HedgeMatthew Jenkinson
