In the Name of God Amen I John Travill of Hanslop in the County of Bucks Yeoman being of sound mind and memory and understanding Praised be Almighty God for the same do make and ordain this my last Will and Testament in manner and form following (that is to say) ffirst and principally I commend my Soul into the hands of Almighty God who gave it hoping to be saved through the merits of Jesus Christ my body I commit to the Earth to be decently Interred at the discretion of my Executrix hereinafter named   And as for such worldly estate as it hath pleased God to bestow upon me I give and dispose hereof as follows   ffirst I will that all such debts as I shall justly owe at the time of my decease and my ffuneral charges be in the first paid and satisfyed by my Executrix hereinafter named Item I give and bequeath unto Mary my loving wife all my Estate both real and personal during the term of her natural life she paying such legacies as shall be hereinafter mentioned   Item I give and bequeath unto my brother Robert Travill of Hartwell in the County of Northampton the Sume of Twenty pound   Item I give and bequeath unto my Niece Elizabeth Mapley wife of John Mapley the Sume of Twenty pound   Item I give and bequeath unto my Niece Sarah wife of John Tite the Sume of Twenty pound Item I give and bequeath unto my Niece Mary Travill wife of William Travill  the Sume of Twenty pounds  Item I give and bequeath unto my three kinsfolk Susannah Gudridge and Mary Gudridge and my kinsman William Gudridge Daughters and Son of William Gudridge of Hartwell in the County of Northampton aforesaid this house which I now dwell in and Close And all appurtenances thereunto belonging and 6 acres of land after the decease of my said wife they paying to my Nephew Henry Travill the sume of one pound ten shilling during the term of his natural life yearly and every years so long as he shall live   Item I give and bequeath unto my Niece Elizabeth Cowley wife of William Cowley of  H…. in the County of Northampton the sume of twenty pound Item I give and bequeath unto my Niece Mary Travill the sume of twenty pound   And lastly all the rest  residue and remainder of my Goods Chattells Real and personal Estate whatsoever and wheresoever not hereinbefore mentioned  I give devise and bequeath unto my said loving wife during the term of her natural life   And my Will and Pleasure is that my said wife shall pay to my Nephew John Travill the sume of twenty pounds and to my Nephew Henry Travill the sume of twenty pounds all of lawful money of Great Brittain   And I do hereby nominate constitute and appoint my said wife Sole Executrix of this my last Will and Testament hereby revoking all former Wills by me at any time made heretofore and do declare this to be my last Will and Testament In Witness whereof I have hereunto set my hand and Seal this fourteenth day of ffebruary in the twenty third year of the Reign of our Sovereign Lord George the second by the Grace of God of Great Brittain ffrance and Ireland King Defender of the ffaith and so forth And in the year of our Lord one thousand seven hundred and forty nine John Travill Signed Sealed published and declared by the said John Travill the Testator as and for his last Will and Testament in the presence of us who have subscribed our names as witnesses at his request and in his presence and in the presence of each other Thomas Billing   Elizabeth Fookes The mark of  Daniel Geary
