In the Name of God Amen I John Tomson of the Parish of Hanslop in the County of Bucks Victualler being weak of Body but of sound and disposing Mind Memory and Understanding thanks be to Almighty God for the same Do make and ordain this my last Will and Testment in manner following (that is to say)   In the first place I commit my Soul to God who gave it and my Body to the Earth to be decently buried according to the discretion of my Executrix hereinafter named And as to such Worldly Estate wherewith it hath pleased God to bless me I give devise bequeath and dispose of the same as follows   Item I give devise and bequeath unto my Loving Wife Ann Tomson All that my Messuage  or Tenement with the Appurtenances thereunto belonging situate and being in Long Street the said Parish of Hanslop to her during the term of her natural Life And after her Decease to my Children equal Share and Share to such of them as shall be living or to their Heirs But if my said Wife Marryd then the said House to be my four Sons that is to George Tompson to Jos Tomson to Benj. Tomson and to John Tomson at the Day of her Marriage share and share as above mentioned   Item I give bequeath to my Son Joseph Tomson the Sum of One Shilling   Item I give and bequeath to my Son George Tomson the Sum of One Shilling   Item I give and bequeath to my Son Benjamin Tomson the Sum of One Shilling   Item I give and bequeath to my Son John Tomson the Sum of One Shilling   Item all the Rest Residue and Remainder of my Estate and Estates whether Real or Personal and wheresoever lying and being I give devise and bequeath the same and every part thereof unto my said Wife Ann Tomson with all my Debts Dues and Demands whatsoever or wheresoever I shall die possessed of I charge my said Wife Ann Tompson with the Payment of the same   And I do hereby nominate constitute and appoint my said Wife Sole Executrix of this my last Will and Testament hereby making void all former and other Will or Wills by at any time heretofore made In Witness whereof I have set my Hand and Seal this Twentythird day of September in the year of our Lord 1754 John Tomson’s Mark Signed Sealed and Declared by the Testator as his last Will and Testament in the presence of us who have hereunto subscribed our Names as Witnesses in the presence of the Testator Law.
