In the Name of God Amen I William Tomkins of Hanslope in the County of Buckingham Gentleman being of sound mind memory and understanding (praised be God for the same) do make this my last Will and Testament in manner and form following (that is to say) I give and devise to William Tomkins my Grandson the Eldest Son and Heir at Law of my Son John Tomkins deceased of Newport Pagnel in the County of Buckingham Plumber and Glazier the sum of One hundred and twelve pounds and ten shillings   Also I give and devise to my two Grandaughters Elizabeth and Sarah Tomkins the like sum of One hundred and twelve pounds and ten shillings of lawful British Money current in Great Britain to each and every of them respectively when and so soon as they each of them shall attain the Age of twenty two years and not before All which said several sums herein before devised to my said Grandson William and to my two Grandaughters Elizabeth and Sarah Tomkins I do hereby make payable from and out of sundry sums of Money which I have vested in  the hands of John Dollen Basset of Newport Pagnel in the County of Buckingham aforesaid Banker to and for the above use and no other   But and if any of my said Grandchildren shall die which are above particularly named then I give and devise his her or their share so dying to be divided between my surviving Grandchildren share and share alike   Also I give and devise to my Grandchildren Harriet Frances John and Alfred Tomkins the sum of Four Hundred and fifty pounds to be equally divided between them share and share alike (that is to say) to each and every of them respectively the Sum of One hundred and twelve pounds and ten shillings which I do hereby make payable out of the Mortgage of sundry Messuages Cottages or Tenements standing and being in Silver Street and in a certain Lane commonly called or known by the name of the Back Lane in Hanslope aforesaid All of which said Messuages Cottages or Tenements are Mortgaged by Joel Cox of Hanslope Carpenter to me for the Sum of Four Hundred and fifty pounds reference being had to the said Mortgage Deed which I hold in my custody will more fully and at large appear All of which said several Sums so devised to my Grandchildren Harriet Frances John and Alfred I do desire and strictly order my Executors hereinafter named to pay or cause to be paid to them and each of them respectively the sums of One hundred and twelve pounds and ten shillings when and so soon as they and each of them shall attain the Age of Twenty two years and not before   Also I give and devise to Elizabeth the surviving Widow of my Son John Tomkins all the interest Money which shall from time to time become due and owing to me whether arising from Mortgage or otherwise to aid and assist her the said Elizabeth in the maintenance and support and education of all my said Grandchildren untill they and each of them shall severally attain the Age of Twenty two years Also I give and devise to Elizabeth Tomkins my Grandaughter one Feather Bed One Bedstead One Matres One pair of Curtains one Bolster Two Pillows Two pair of Sheets One Blanket and one Counterpane Also I give and devise to my Grandaughter Sarah Tomkins One Feather Bed and one pair of Sheets Also I give and devise to my Grandson William Tomkins my Clock my Gun and my Silver Shoe Buckles Also I give and devise o my Grandson John Tomkins my Bureau and my Silver Watch Also I give and devise the rest residue and remainder of my Household Furniture of what nature or kind soever the same shall consist at the time of my decease to be equally divided between my three Grandchildren Harriet Sarah and Frances share and share alike Also I do hereby strictly order my Executors hereinafter named as soon as conveniently may be after my decease to sell and dispose off for the most Money that can begotten All that Plot of Parcel of Ground which I purchased of William Brice and which is now in the tenure or occupation of William Crick situate lying and being in Wooding Lane in the Parish of Hanslope aforesaid Also I do hereby order and direct my Executors hereinafter named to sell and dispose off all my live and dead Stock Grass and Hay which shall or may be found in or upon all those two Closes of Meadow or Pasture Ground which I now rent of Eli Elkins situate and being in the Parish of Hanslope aforesaid and to put out to lawful interest the money arising therefrom which I desire my Executors to divide equally between all my Grandchildren as aforesaid share and share alike Also I do hereby authorise and empower my Executors hereinafter named to collect and receive all debts due and owing to me and to put out the same to lawful interest as aforesaid and all my ready Money Notes of hand for Money I do desire them to put out to interest as aforesaid until my Grandchildren as aforesaid shall successively attain the Age of Twenty two years as aforesaid Also I give and devise all my wearing apparel to be equally divided between William Atterbury of Helmdon in the County of Northampton William Whitehead of Leamington in the County of Warwick and John Law of the Town of Northampton share and share alike Also I do desire and strictly order my Executors to give instruction to George Wells of Stoney Stratford Stone Mason to erect a pair of Grave Stones to my Memory and I do desire them to pay the charge thereof on the day they are put down and I do desire my said Executors to see that my Funeral be conducted in a neat but by no means extravagant manner And I do desire my Executors to pay all my just debts and funeral expences And lastly I do nominate constitute appoint and name Thomas Shrieve of Hanslope my Grandson William Tomkins of Newport Pagnell and James Riley of Chicherly in the County of  Buckingham Gentleman joint Executors of this my last Will and Testament (containing three sheets) hereby revoking all former and other Wills by me at any time heretofore made and do publish
