In the Name of God Amen I Charles Panter of Hanslope in the County of Bucks Butcher being weak in body but of sound mind and memory blessed be God do make and ordain this my last Will and Testament in manner and form following (that is to say)   First and principally I commend my Soul to God who gave it and my body I commit to the Earth to be decently buried at the discretion of my Executrix hereinafter named  In the first place I will that all my just Debts And funeral Expenses be paid and satisfied and after that I give devise and bequeath unto my Son John Panter after my Wife Sarah Panters decease that house now in the occupation of William Caves I also give devise and bequeath unto my Son John Panter my Horse and all my Utensils in my Shop belonging to the Trade of  a Butcher with all my wearing apparel I also give devise and bequeath unto my Son John Panter the sum of twenty Pounds of lawful Money of Great Britain to be paid by my Executrix one Month after my decease I give devise and bequeath unto my Grand Daughter Elizabeth Panter Daughter of my deceased Son Dennis Panter that house now in the occupation of Sarah Caves after my Wife Sarah Panters decease and if my Grand Daughter Elizabeth Panter should dye before she be twenty one Years of age I give devise and bequeath the said House now in the occupation of Sarah Caves after my Wife Sarah Panters decease unto my Grand Son Joseph Panter Son of my deceased Son Dennis Panter All the rest residue and remainder of my Estate real and personal whatsoever and wheresoever lying and being with all my ready Money securities for money and whatsoever I shall dye possessed of I give devise and bequeath the same unto my loving Wife Sarah Panter to her and her heirs for ever I also nominate Constitute and appoint my said Wife Sarah Panter sole Executrix of this my last Will and Testament hereby revoking and making void all other Will or Wills heretofore made by me and allow this only to be my last Will and Testament In Witness whereof I have hereunto set my hand and Seal the eighth Day of May in the Year of our Lord one thousand seven hundred and seventy three – Charles Panter – Signed sealed published and declared by the said Charles Panter the Testator and for his last Will and Testament in the presence of us who in his presence and at his request and in the presence of each other have subscribed our Names as Witnesses hereto Susanna Lane   Mary Stanton   Joseph Smith
