This is the last Will and Testament of me John Manning of Hanslop in the County of Bucks Butcher which I make in the following manner (that is to say) I give devise and bequeath unto my Son James Manning and my friend James Bishop of Hanslop aforesaid Malster all my real and personal Estate whatsoever and wheresoever To hold my said real and personal Estate unto my said trustees their heirs executors and administrators Upon trust (after payment of my debts and funeral expenses) for the benefit of my wife Lucy Manning for and during the term of her natural life and from and immediately after her decease Upon trust by public auction or private contract to sell the messuage or tenement wherein I now dwell with the appurtenances thereto belonging for the most money and best price that can be got for the same And also all my personally and after payment interest of all her legal debts and funeral expences to share pay and divide the clear money to and amongst all my Sons and Daughters (except only my eldest Son) and from and immediately after the decease of my said wife I direct that my cottage and garden in the occupation of Thomas Branson with the appurtenances shall be used and enjoyed by all and every my daughters or such of them as shall remain single it being my intention that they shall always have a home there so long as they or any of them remain unmarried and from and immediately after the decease or marriage of all my said daughters I direct my said trustees or the survivor of them or the heirs of such survivor to sell my said cottage or Tenement and Garden with the appurtenances for the most money and best price that can be gotten and after all expences are paid to share pay and divide the clear money to and amongst all my said Children or such of them as shall be then living (except only my said Eldest Son) share and share alike   And I do hereby declare that the receipt of my said Trustees or the survivor of them or the heirs of such Survivor shall from time to time be good discharge and discharges to the purchaser or purchasers of my said messuage cottage and premises above my me devised to be sold as aforesaid   And I do hereby appoint my said Son James and my said friend James Bishop joint Executors of this my last Will and Testament and do declare that they shall be at full liberty from time to time to deduct and retain all costs and charges in executing the trusts hereby in them reposed and shall not be answerable or accountable for each other but each for his and their own acts receipts neglects or defaults only And lastly I revoke all former Wills by me made and declare this only to be my last Will and Testament In Witness whereof I the said John Manning the Testator have to this my last Will and Testament contained in two sheets of paper fixed together at the top with a Seal set my hand and seal (that is to say) to the first sheet hereof my hand only and to this second and last sheet my hand and seal this twenty seventh day of October in the Year of our Lord one thousand eight hundred and fourteen John Manning LS Signed Sealed published and Declared by the said John Manning the Testator as and for his last Will and Testament in the presence of us who at his request and in his presence have attested the same in the presence of each other Joseph Gregory   Thomas Coles   George Cooch
