In the Name of God Amen I Catharine Gough of the parish of Hanslope in the County of Buckingham Widow being of sound and disposing mind and memory do make and publish this my last Will and Testament in manner following   that is to say I commend my Soul into the hands of Almighty God my Creator hoping thro the merits and Mediator of my blessed redeemer and Saviour Jesus Christ to obtain pardon of my Sins and to inherit everlasting life my body I commit to the Earth to be decently buried at the discretion of my Executors hereafter named and as to such Worldly Goods God of his goodness hath bestowed upon me I give and dispose of (after the payment of my just debts Funeral Expences and the charges of proving this my Will) as follows   that is to say I give and bequeath to my Executors the sum of Thirty pounds of lawful Money of Great Britain to be by them my said Executors disposed of for the use of the Methodist Meeting or Society at Hanslope belonging to the late Rev.d John Wesley’s connexion as they my said Executors shall think most expedient for the benefit of the said Meeting or Society   I give and bequeath to Mr Joseph Gregory one of my Executors Five Guineas   All my ready Money Mortgages Bills Bonds and other Securities for Money which shall belong to me at the time of my decease and not herein otherwise disposed of I give and bequeath the same and every part thereof to Sarah Garrat Wife of David Garrat of the parish of Hanslope in the County of Buckingham and Thomas Truelove Aston Daughter and Son of John and Sarah Aston late of the Parish of Castlethorp in the same County to be equally divided between the said Sarah Garrat and Thomas Truelove Aston share and share alike without any difference or distinction the said Money Bills Bonds to be vested in the hands of my Executors untill the said Sarah Garrat and the said Thomas Truelove Aston shall respectively come of the Age of Twenty one Years and then they are each as they arrive at the Age of Twenty one Years to receive hers or his share in full but if the said Sarah Garrat or the said Thomas Truelove Aston shall die before she or he comes of the Age of Twenty one Years and leave Child or Children the said Child or Children shall receive hers or his share in full to whom they may respectively belong But if the said Sarah Garrat and the said Thomas Truelove Aston shall die before she or he arrive at the Age of Twenty one Years and leave no offspring then the whole of the said shares is hereby given and bequeathed to the Survivor of them and then the said Survivor  shall receive the whole of both the said shares in full All which sums of Money I do hereby direct and order shall be paid by my Executors Mr Joseph Kitelee of Castlethorp Gentleman and Mr Joseph Gregory of Hanslope Shopkeeper within twelve Calendar Months after my decease All the residue and remainder of my Goods Chattels Household Furniture Wearing Apparel and other Personal Estate and Effects whatsoever and wheresoever I give and bequeath the same and every part thereof to Sarah Garrat Wife of the aforesaid David Garrat for her sole use and benefit But in case the said Sarah Garrat and the said Thomas Truelove Aston shall refuse to give to the said Mr Joseph Kitelee a receipt in full of all demands for the money he has advanced arising from the property of the late Thomas Truelove of Castlethorpe in the County of Buckingham aforesaid for the advantage maintenance and support of the said Sarah Garrat and the said Thomas Truelove Aston then I hereby order that the said Mr Joseph Kitelee shall receive the amount of all those Monies he has so advanced out of the Money and other Effects I may leave at the time of my decease before the payment of the aforesaid legacies And I do hereby make constitute and appoint the said Mr Joseph Kitelee of Castlethorp aforesaid and the said Mr Joseph Gregory of Hanslope aforesaid Shopkeeper Joint Executors of this my last Will and Testament And lastly I do hereby revoke and make void all former Wills by me at any time heretofore made and do publish and declare this alone to be and contain my true and whole last Will and Testament In Witness whereof I the said Catharine Gough the Testatrix have hereunto set my hand and Seal this Fifteenth day of April in the Year of our Lord One thousand eight hundred and twenty four The Mark of Catharine Gough  (LS) Signed Sealed published and declared  by the above named Catharine Gough the Testatrix as and for her last Will and Testament in the presence of us who have hereunto subscribed our names as Witnesses at her request in her presence and in the presence of each other William Cox   Mary West
