In the Name of God Amen I Elizabeth Gaudern of the Parish of Hanslope in the County of Buckingham Do make this my last Will and Testament in manner and form following that is to say I give and bequeath all my Money Farming Stock Household Furniture the pump in the Yard adjoining the House in which I now live and the Cistern in the Malt House at the bottom of the said Yard and all my other Effects whatsoever and wheresoever unto my Son in Law Thomas Stonton of Hanslope aforesaid that he may sell and dispose of the same to the best advantage and that out of the produce of the sale thereof he shall pay my funeral Expences my just debts and the expence of proving this my Will And I hereby will that the said Thomas Stonton give the Money arising from the sale of my said Goods or otherwise to my daughter Elizabeth Gaudern for her use and benefit during the term of her natural life And after her death my Will is that whatever remains of the same be equally divided amongst my five following children namely Richard Gaudern Thomas Gaudern George Gaudern Ann Stonton and Martha Cox share and share alike without any difference or distinction And I hereby constitute and appoint my aforesaid Son in Law Thomas Stonton sole Executor of this my last Will and Testament And I hereby revoke all former Wills by me at any time heretofore made and declare this and no other to be my last Will and Testament In Witness whereof I hereunto set my hand and seal this twenty sixth day of February in the Year of our Lord One thousand eight hundred and seventeen The Mark of Elizabeth Gaudern (LS) Signed sealed published and declared by the within named Testratrix as and for her last Will and Testament in the presence of us who have at her request affixed our names as Witnesses in her presence and in the presence of each other – W Singleton – Sarah Cox
