August ye 6th 1741 In the Name of God Amen I James England of Hanslop in the County of Bucks being weak in body but of perfect Mind Memory and Understanding Do make this my Last Will and Testament in manner following But first of all I give my Soul into the hand of God who gave it in trusting through the Merits and Mediation of Jesus Christ my Redeemer I shall be saved and as for my body to be buried in such a Christian like manner as my Executor shall think proper and as for my Temporal affairs I dispose of in manner following   Item I give to my daughter Normond Ten pounds   Item I give to my daughter Alice Ratnett Tenn pounds   Item I give to my son James England Ten pounds   Item I give to my daughter Elizabeth England Ten pounds but my son Richard Normond I give but one Shilling   But if my charges should be so great as not to give my four Children Ten pounds apiece then I desire they will equally bear a part of the charge but if any one of them should Quarrell concerning their Money that Child shall be cutt off with one Shilling and the Money divided amongst the other Three   and I do give my son James England my feather bed bedstead and clock and Jack and all other belonging to them and my new buckskin breeches and best White Frocks and Red Waistcoat and black Russell Waistcoat and the Coat that has the velvet collar and my coat that is not made up and my least Great Coat and the best of my Shirts and my long Whip the little Hatt that has the button upon it And I do give to my daughter Mary Normond the worst of my Shirts  And I do give to my son John Ratnett all the rest of my Clothes and I give to my Grandson Thomas Ratnett one pair of Silver buckles and my watch that is in my pocket and my bridles and Saddles and my short whip and I do make my son John Ratnett sole Executor of this my Last Will and Testament and I do hereby revoke all other Wills heretofore made In Witness hereof I have set my hand and Seal this 6th day of August One Thousand Seven hundred and forty one  James England Signed and Sealed in the presence of us to be his Last Will and Testament  William Nichols   The Mark of Richard Nicholls   Edward Hobbes
