This is the last Will and Testament of me Benjamin Drawbridge of Hanslope in the County of Buckingham Grazier as follows (viz!)   I give and bequeath unto my dear wife Susan Drawbridge for her natural life all and singular my ready money live and dead stock in trade household goods furniture plate and linen All monies in the funds my shares in the Northampton Union Bank my shares in the Cumbrian and Universal Life and Fire Insurance Company and all dividends and interest due thereon at the time of my decease and all securities for monies and all other my real and personal Estate and Effects whatsoever and wheresoever and of every nature sort or kindsoever which I shall be possessed of or entitled unto at the time of my decease Subject only to the payment of my just debts funeral expenses and testamentary charges of proving this my Will And I give unto my said Wife full power to sell out and transfer any part or all of my said personal Estate in the funds Bank shares Insurance Shares or any other Securities whatsoever or wheresoever I may be possessed of at the time of my decease with liberty from time to time to change the investment at her discretion for any other Government or real Securities in Great Britain And from and after the decease of my said wife I give and bequeath unto my dear daughter and only child Susan Drawbridge (if her surviving) All my said real and personal Estate and Effects for her sole and respective use benefit and disposal Subject nevertheless to the payment of my said Wife’s just debts and funeral expenses And I do hereby nominate constitute and appoint my said Wife Susan Drawbridge Sole Executrix of this my said Will And I further declare that her receipt or receipts shall be a sufficient discharge or discharges to any person or persons paying any money or monies under this my said Will And all reasonable expenses incurred in the execution thereof shall be paid out of my said Estate to my said Executrix of this my last Will and Testament In witness whereof I the said Benjamin Drawbridge have hereunto set my hand the Eighteenth day of June in the year of our Lord One thousand eight hundred and fifty two – Benjamin Drawbridge – Signed published and declared by the said Benjamin Drawbridge as and for his last Will and Testament in the presence of us who in his presence at his request and in the presence of each other have hereunto subscribed our names as witnesses – John Brooks   William Bradshaw
