This is the last Will and Testament of me Thomas Crick of Hanslop in the County of Bucks Yeoman which I make in the following manner (that is to say)   I Give and devise unto my Eldest Son Thomas Harris Crick All that my Messuage or Tenement situate and being at Hanslop aforesaid formerly a public house called the Bell with the Pightle and appurtenances thereunto belonging which said Messuage was some years since divided into three Tenements and is now in the several occupations of Thomas Webb Benjamin Inwood and Sarah Travell and the Pightle is now in the occupation of my son Charles Nichols Crick To hold the same Messuage or Tenements and Pightle with their and every of their appurtenances unto my said son Thomas Harris Crick his heirs and Assigns for ever   And I do hereby Give and Bequeath unto my said son Thomas Harris Crick Three Hundred Pounds to be paid him by my Executor within twelve months next after my decease   Next I Give and devise unto my son in law Robert Smith his Heirs and Assigns for ever All that my Messuage Cottage or Tenement situate and being in the Church End of Hanslop aforesaid now in the occupation of Mary Woodcock together with the Yard Garden and wheelwrights shop lately erected thereon adjoining and belonging to the said Messuage and now in the occupation of the said Robert Smith with full and free liberty of Ingress Egress and regress way and passage from the Common Street of Hanslop aforesaid to and from the same premises as full as he now enjoys the same which said Messuage Yard Garden and premises are part of the Estate which I have lately purchased of Thomas Caswell and Martha his Wife   and I Also Give and devise unto my said son in law Robert Smith and my Daughter Elizabeth Nicholls his Wife for and during the Term of their joint natural lives and the life of my said Daughter provided she shall happen to survive her said Husband All these my two other Messuages Cottages or Tenements in Hanslop aforesaid adjoining the last mentioned Messuage or Tenement now in the several occupations of the said Robert Smith and Robert Woodland and being the residue of the premises purchased by me of the said Thomas Caswell and Martha his Wife   but if my said son in law shall happen to survive my said Daughter then from and immediately after the decease of my said Daughter I Give and devise the said two last mentioned Messuages Cottages or Tenements with the appurtenances unto amongst and between all and every the Child and Children of the said Robert Smith by my said Daughter living at the time of her decease and to their several and respective Heirs and Assigns for ever To hold the same share and share alike as Tenants in common and not as joint tenants and I Give and Bequeath unto my Wife Jane Crick and her assigns for and during the term of her natural life the use of a Bed and the ffurniture of one of my Best Bed Rooms and also one annuity of twenty pounds of lawful Money of Great Britain to be paid her by my son and Executor James Nicholls Crick by even and equal half yearly payments for and during the term of her natural life and at her decease I Give the said Bed and Furniture unto my said Son James Nicholls Crick and subject and liable to such Annuity I do hereby Give and Bequeath unto my said Son James Nicholls Crick his Executors and Administrators all the rest residue and remainder of my ready Money Securities for Money Household Furniture Goods Chattels Cattle Stock and personal Estate and Effects whatsoever and wheresoever he and they paying thereout all my legal Debts and Funeral Expences and also within twelve Months next after the decease of my said Wife paying unto my said Son Charles Nicholls Crick a Legacy of One Hundred pounds of like lawful Money and I do hereby appoint my said Son James Nicholls Crick full and sole Executor of this my last Will and Testament and revoking all former Wills by me made declare this only to be my last Will and Testament In Witness whereof I the said Thomas Crick the Testator have to this my last Will and Testament contained in two sheets of paper set my hand and seal (that is to say) to the first sheet hereof my hand only and to this last sheet my hand and seal the Ninth day of August in the year of our Lord One thousand eight hundred and eight – Thomas Crick (LS) Signed sealed published and declared by the above named Thomas Crick the Testator as and for his last Will and Testament the words several occupations of Thomas Webb Benjamin Inwood and Sarah Travell and the Pightle is now in the being first interlined between the sixth and seventh lines of the first sheet in the presence of us who at his request and in his presence have attested the same in the presence of each other- George Cooch - W Adams Clerk to Mr Cooch – Charles Goodwin
