In the Name of God Amen I George Cox of the Parish of Hanslope in the County of Buckingham Carpenter do make and ordain this my last Will and Testament in manner and form following that is to say I give devise and bequeath all my Houses Barns Gardens and Appurtenances and Land of what kind or description soever situate lying and being in Church End in the Parish of Hanslope aforesaid subject to and charged with the payment of the six several Sums of Fifteen pounds to my six younger Children hereinafter named to my eldest Son Joel Cox To hold to him his heirs and assigns forever I likewise give devise and bequeath to my said eldest Son Joel Cox and to Joseph Gregory of Hanslope aforesaid Shopkeeper  my Executors hereinafter named my two Cottages Barns and the Gardens theretoadjoining situate lying and being in Longstreet in the aforesaid parish of Hanslope to be by them sold and disposed of for the most Money that can be at the time of such Sale be reasonably had and obtained for the same and the Money therefrom arising to be applied in the first place towards the discharge of such part of my debts as my personal estate hereinafter bequeathed for that purpose shall not extend to pay and satisfy   And in the next place to pay share and divide the residue of the said  purchase Money between and among the whole of my Children share and share alike or the Child or Children of such of them my said Children as shall then have departed this life leaving any Child or Children so that the share or shares of the deceased Parent or Parents as the case may be shall go to the Child or Children of such of them my said Children as shall then have departed this life leaving any Child or Children But if any of my said Children shall depart this life without leaving any Child or Children then I give the share of such of them my said Children as shall so depart this life to the Survivors of my said Children share and share alike I likewise give and bequeath to each of my Children namely William Cox John Cox Elizabeth Cox James Cox Mary Cox and Sarah Ann Cox the sum of Fifteen pounds of lawful money of Great Britain to be paid to them by my aforesaid Son Joel Cox within twelve calendar months after my decease out of my aforesaid Houses Barns Gardens Appurtenances and Land situate lying and being in Church End aforesaid And if any of them my said Children the said William Cox John Cox Elizabeth Cox James Cox Mary Cox and Sarah Ann Cox should die leaving a Child or Children Then I hereby will that his or her or their share of and in the said last mentioned sum of Fifteen pounds to each of my said before named six Children and charged on my said Houses Barns Gardens Appurtenances and Land at Church End shall go to such Child or Children And if there be more than one such Child to be equally divided amongst them And if any of them my said last named six Children shall die without having any Child or Children Then my will is that the share or shares of such Child or Children so dying of and in the said six several sums of Fifteen pounds so charged as aforesaid shall be divided equally amongst the whole of my surviving Children I also give and bequeath to my daughter Mary Cox such Feather Bed as she shall choose out of the rest of my Beds To my daughter Sarah Ann Cox such Feather Bed as she shall next choose out of the rest of my Beds And to my two Sons William Cox and James Cox my other two Feather Beds namely one Bed to each of them All my Bedsteads Bedding and Bed Furniture remaining after the aforesaid distribution I will and bequeath to be equally divided amongst my said six youngest Children or the Survivors or Survivor of them All my other effects of what sort or description soever I give and bequeath to be equally divided amongst the whole of my Children and the Survivors and Survivor of them I will that all my just debts Funeral Expences and the charges of proving this my Will be paid as far as the same will extend out of my ready Money Money owing to me in Trade or otherwise Book Debts Shop Tools Stock in Trade and Household Furniture if required (my Beds Bedding Bedstead and Bed Furniture excepted which are not to be liable to the payment of my Debts) I do hereby appoint my said Son Joel Cox and the said Joseph Gregory Executors of this my last Will and Testament And it is my Will that my said Executors or either of them shall not be answerable or accountable for any involuntary accident or misfortune that may happen or arise in the execution of this my Will And Lastly hereby revoking all former Wills by me made I declare this only to be my last Will and Testament  In Witness whereof I have hereunto set my hand and Seal this twenty first day of August in the Year of our Lord One
