This is the last Will and Testament of Thomas Clarke of Hanslope in the County of Buckingham Wheelwright   I Thomas Clarke of Hanslope in the County of Buckingham aforesaid in ill health but of sound mind do make this as my last Will and Testament viz. In the first place I will and direct that all my just debts funeral and testamentary expenses shall be paid and discharged out of my personal Estate and Effects after which I will and bequeath to my dear Wife Sarah Clarke her heirs executors administrators and assigns all my Real and Personal Estate and ….. of every description whatsoever and wheresoever   I appoint my Son Thomas Clarke and my friend Richard Gregory both of Hanslope aforesaid Joint Executors to this my last Will and Testament Witness my hand and seal this second day of ffebruary one thousand eight hundred and fifty one Thomas Clarke Witnesses to the signature John Sansem Joseph Wickins

In the Goods of Thomas Clarke deceased

Appeared Personally Joseph Wickins of Hanslope in the County of Buckingham Wheelwright and made oath that he is one of the attesting witnesses to the last Will and Testament of Thomas Clarke of Hanslope in the County of Buckingham Wheelwright and Licensed Victualler deceased which said Will is now hereunto annexed is contained on two sides of a sheet of letter paper and bears date the second day of ffebruary one thousand eight hundred and fifty one   And having now with care and attention viewed and perused the said Will and more particularly observed the name ‘Thomas Clarke’ set  and subscribed thereto he further made oath that he was present at the execution of the said Will by the said Testator which took place on the day of the date thereof and that there was also present John Sansem his fellow subscribed witness therein and that the saidTestator then set and subscribed his said name at the foot or end of the said Will in manner and form as the same now appears in the presence of Deponent  and his fellow subscribed witness (all being  present at the same time) who then in the presence of the said Testator and of each other respectively subscribed their names thereto as witnesses attesting the due execution thereof – Joseph Wickins – On Saturday the 25th day of October 1851 the said Joseph Wickins was duly sworn to the truth of the aforegoing affidavit Before me T Spinks      Prost.
