This is the last Will and Testament of me William Barratt of Hanslopp in the County of Bucks Yeoman which I make and ordain in manner and form following (that is to say)  ffirst I will and direct that all my legal debts and funeral Expenses shall be fully paid and discharged  Next I give and bequeath unto my brother Abraham Barratt of Hartwell in the County of Northampton yeoman the sum of Two hundred and twenty pounds of lawful money of Great Britain Upon special trust and confidence that he the said Abraham Barratt his Executors or Administrators do and shall within three months next after my decease put place out and continue at Interest on .... [?] or Government securities or in Parliamentary funds the said sum of Two hundred and twenty pounds and do and shall pay the interest profit and proceed and dividends of One hundred pounds (part of the said sum of Two hundred and twenty pounds) as the same shall accrue and be paid unto Sarah Mills (who now lives with me) or her assigns for and during the term of her natural life and also do and shall pay and apply the interest profit proceed and dividends of the remainder of the said sum of Two hundred and twenty pounds for and towards the support maintenance education and bringing up of Thomas William Barratt Mills my natural son by the said Sarah Mills until he shall attain the age of twenty one years and in case the said Sarah Mills shall happen to depart this life before the said Thomas William Barratt Mills shall attain the said age of Twenty one years Then upon further trust that he the said Abraham Barratt his Executors or Administrators do and shall pay and apply all the interest profit proceed and dividends of the said sum of Two hundred and twenty pounds for and towards the support maintenance education and bringing up of the said Thomas William Barratt Mills during his minority and do and shall pay the whole of the said Principal sum of Two hundred and twenty pounds or assign or transfer the securities whereon the same is or may be invested unto the said Thomas William Barratt Mills upon his attainment of the said age of twenty one years but if the said Sarah Mills shall be at that time living Then upon further trust that he the said Abraham Barratt his Executors and Administrators do and shall pay unto the said Thomas William Barratt Mills on his attainment of the said age of twenty one years the sum of One hundred and twenty pounds only (being Part of the said sum of Two hundred and twenty pounds and the sum of one hundred pounds residue thereof after the decease of the said Sarah Mills and if the said Thomas William Barratt Mills shall happen to die under the age of twenty one years in the lifetime of the said Sarah Mills Then my mind and will is and I do hereby direct and declare that from and immediately after the decease of the said Thomas William Barratt Mills the sum of One hundred and twenty pounds part of the said sum of Two hundred and twenty pounds shall sink into and be taken as part of the residue of my personal Estate and go therewith and that from and after the decease of the said Sarah Mills the sum of One hundred pounds remainder of the said sum of Two hundred and twenty pounds shall also sink into and be taken as part of the said residue of my personal Estate and go therewith and in case the said Thomas William Barratt Mills shall survive the said Sarah Mills but shall die under the age of twenty one years  Then I further will direct and declare that the whole of the said sum of Two hundred and twenty pounds shall then sink into and be taken as part of the said residue of my Personal Estate and go therewith all the rest residue and remainder of my Goods Chattels Cattle ready monies securities for money Stock personal Estate and Effects whatsoever and wheresoever (after payment of my debts funeral Expenses and the legacy herein before mentioned) I give and bequeath unto my said brother Abraham Barratt his Executors and Administrators and I do hereby nominate and appoint the said Abraham Barratt sole Executor of this my last Will and Testament and do revoke all former and other Wills by me at any time heretofore made hereby declaring this only to be my last Will and Testament In Witness whereof I the said William Barratt the Testator have to this my last Will and Testament set my hand and seal the twenty eighth day of October in the  thirtieth year of the reign of our Sovereign Lord George the third by the grace of God of Great Britain France and Ireland King Defender of the faith and so forth and in the year of our Lord One thousand seven hundred and Eighty Nine ---- Willm. Proved the 26th day of November 1790 before the Reverend Thomas Propert Clerk Surrogate by the Oath of Abraham Barratt the natural and lawful Brother and sole Executor to whom Adcon. was committed he being first sworn duly to Administer.
