This is the last Will and Testament of me John Adams the Elder of Hanslop in the County of Bucks Yeoman in manner following (that is to say)   First I give and bequeath to my son Matthew Adams and to his heirs and assigns for ever All that my let plot or piece of new inclosed Land situate lying and being in a field commonly called High Croft field in the parish of Hanslop aforesaid   Also all and singular my goods cattle stock crop monies and securities for money leases mortgages in fee or for years and all other my personal Estate whatsoever and wheresoever and of what nature sort or kind soever I give and bequeath the same unto my three sons the said Matthew Adams John Adams and Thomas Adams to be equally divided amongst them share and share alike they thereout paying all my just debts that I shall owe at the time of my decease my funeral expences and the charges of proving this  my Will   Also I do hereby make nominate constitute and appoint my said three sons Matthew John and Thomas joint Executors of this my Will hereby revoking all former Wills by me at any time heretofore made and declare this alone to be my last Will and Testament in Witness whereof I the said Testator John Adams have hereunto set my hand and seal this sixth day of March in the year of our Lord One thousand seven hundred and Eighty Nine John Adams (LS) Signed sealed published and declared by the above named John Adams the Testator as and for his last Will and Testament in the presence of us who have hereunto subscribed our names as Witnesses thereto at his request and in his presence and in the presence of each other – Thomas GrammerHannah ScrivenerThomas Holloway
