This is the last  Will and Testament of me Thomas Prentice of Hanslope in the County of Buckingham Yeoman being of sound mind memory and understanding   First I will order and direct that all my just Debts Funeral and Testamentary Expences shall be fully paid and satisfied   And after payment thereof I give and bequeath all and singular my Live and Dead Stock Farming Utensills and Implements of Husbandry Household Goods and Furniture Plate Linen Monies and all other my personall estate and effects whatsoever and wheresoever And of what nature kind or sort soever the same maybe unto my Son William Prentice of Hanslope aforesaid Yeoman and Mary the Wife of William Woodward  Flecknoe in the County of Warwick Labourer  to be equally divided between them   And lastly I do hereby nominate and appoint William Prentice of Hanslope aforesaid and William Woodward of Flecknoe aforesaid my Executors in Trust of this my last Will and Testament And I do declare that they or the Survivors of them his executors or administrators shall not be charged or chargeable for more Money than he or they shall actually receive nor shall they or the Survivors of them be answerable or accountable for any person with whom any of the said Trust Money shall be deposited for safe custody or for any loss or damage unless the same shall happen through their or either of their willfull default And that this my last Will  be fully executed by them if possible within twelve Calendar Months from my decease In Witness whereof I the said Thomas Prentice have to this my last Will set my hand and seal this 31st day of October 1837 – The Mark of X (LS) Thomas Prentice – Signed sealed published and declared by the Testator Thomas Prentice as and for his last Will and Testament in the presence of us who have hereunto at his request in his presence and in the presence of each other subscribed our Names as Witnesses – James BarfordJohn Carvil
