Be it known to all people to whom these presents may concern that I John Howe of  Hanslop in the County of Bucks Esquire being of Sound Mind Memory and Understanding   Do make this my last Will and Testament in  manner and form following  (that is to say) I give and  bequeath all my Leasehold Estate which I hold from the Worshipful Company of Skinners London situate in Skinners Street and Bishopgate Street London   And all my Estate and Interest therein To my Dear Cousin John Collet the Elder of Millman Street near Ormond Street London for and during all the residue of the Term of years I have in the said  Lease subject to the Rents and covenants under which I hold the same Also I give and bequeath unto Mr John Collet  of  Genoa  Son of my Deceased Dear Cousin Matthew Collet all sums of Money Goods Chattels Estate and Effects whatsoever to which I am entitled by virtue of the last Will and Testament of James Howe late of Leghorn in Italy Merchant Deceased   Also I give unto my Dear Wife Caroline Howe all my Household Goods and Furniture Horses and Equipage Jewels and Plate of which I shall die possessed  and also the sum of one thousand pounds of lawful money  of Great Britain   Also I give and bequeath to my Dear Friend Matthew Raper of Thorley Hall in the County of Hertford Esquire and to his heirs and assigns all my Chambers which I hold of the Society of the Middle Temple and all my Estate and Interest in the same  And also my Books and papers of which I shall die possessed of    All the rest and residue of my real and personal Estate of which I shall die seized or possessed I give devise and bequeath to and to the use of the Right Honourable Richard Lord Viscount Howe of Langar Nottinghamshire and Matthew Raper of Thorley Hall Hertfordshire whom I do hereby Appoint Joint Executors of this my Will  and to their heirs Executors Administrators and Assigns forever to hold as Tenants in Common and not as Joynt Tenants  And I do hereby revoke all former Wills by me heretofore made and declare this to be my last Will and Testament    In Witness whereof I have herunto set my hand and Seal this Twenty Second Day of January in the year of our Lord One Thousand Seven Hundred and Sixty One   John  Howe:   Signed Sealed Published and Declared by the said John Howe the Testator as and for his last Will and Testament in the presence of us who in his presence and in the presence of each other have subscribed our names as Witnesses hereunto  Wm Palmer Ironmongers Hall   Wm  RicketsH Summers his clerk

This is a Codicil   to be added to and to be taken as part of the last Will and Testament of me John Howe of  Hanslop in the County of Buckingham Esquire Bearing date the Twenty Second Day if January in the year of our Lord One Thousand Seven Hundred and Sixty One   Whereas I have in and by my said last Will and Testament Given and bequeathed unto John Collet of the Republic of  Genoa Merchant  All sum and sums of Money Goods Chattels Estate and Effects whatsoever and wheresooever which I should be possessed  of or entitled unto under and by virtue of the last Will and Testament of James Howe late of Leghorn Merchant now deceased Now I do hereby revoke annul and make void the same bequest to the said John Collet   And in lieu thereof I do hereby give and bequeath unto the said John Collet the sum of One Thousand pounds of lawful Money of Great Britain to be paid  him within one year after my death but without any interest for the same   I do hereby give devise  and bequeath all that messuage or tenements which I have lately purchased  situate standing and being in Bolton Street or Bolton Row in the County of Middlesex with the Yard Garden Outhouses and other Appurtenances thereinto belonging unto the Right Honourable Richard Lord Viscount Howe his Executors Administrators and Assigns for and during all the Rest Residue and Remainder of the of the Term and Interest I have therein yet to come and unexpired   And I do hereby Give Devise and bequeath all my Messuages Lands and Tenements Hereditaments and Real Estate whatsoever and wheresoover which I am become seized or possessed of or entitled unto since the making of my said Will unto the same persons their heirs Executors and Administrators and for the same Estates and Interest therein as I have in and by my said last Will and Testament Given  Devised and Bequeathed the Residue of my Real and personal Estate unto   And Lastly I do hereby ratify Confirm and Establish my said last Will and Testament in every respect  matter clause and thing whatsoever wherein I have not hereinbefore altered revoked or made void the same   In Witness whereof  I have hereunto set my hand and Seal this Twelfth day of November in the year of our Lord  One Thousand Seven Hundred and Sixty Four  John Howe Signed Sealed and Published and Declared by the said John Howe as and for a Codicil  to be Added to and to be taken as part of his last Will and Testament in the presence of us who in his presence and at his request and in the presence of each other have subscribed our names as Witnesses thereunto Henry  Wilmot  John Lancaster [?] Henry Allott

This Will was proved at London  (with a Codicil) the Seventh Day of October in Year of our Lord One Thousand Seven Hundred and Sixty Nine before the Worshipful George Harris Doctor of Laws Surrogate of the Right Worshipful George  Hay  Also Doctor of Laws Master Keeper or Commissary of the Prerogative Court of  Canterbury  lawfully constituted by the oaths of the Right Honourable Richard Lord Viscount Howe and Matthew Raper Esq the Executors named in the Will to  whom  Administration  was granted of all and Singular the Goods and Chattels and Credits of the deceased they having been first sworn duly to Administer
